Essential Qualifications and

Experience:

• Active RN license in the state of Tennessee (or eligibility for reciprocity)
• Previous nursing experience, ideally in a school, pediatric, or community setting
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when engaging with children and adolescents
• CPR and First Aid certification (current and maintained throughout assignment)
• Collaborative attitude and a passion for promoting student health and wellness

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care, including assessment, intervention, medication administration, and emergency response
• Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with medical needs
• Maintain accurate health records and follow strict confidentiality guidelines
• Serve as a health resource, providing education to students, families, and staff
• Assist in managing communicable disease protocols, immunizations, and health screenings
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to create a supportive learning environment
