Position

Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Instructor – Alcorn Career & Technology Center (2026‑27 School Year, Job ). This position is Full‑time, High School Teaching/Technology Education Teacher.

Alcorn Career & Technology Center

• Must have earned a two‑year college degree (associate degree) or higher from an accredited institution of higher education, or hold a valid standard five‑year renewable CTE license in the Construction Career Pathway.

• Associate degree applicants must have at least two years of verifiable occupational experience in the past ten years.
• Bachelor or higher degree applicants must have at least one year of verifiable occupational experience in the past ten years.
• Experience must be appropriate to the subject being taught.

• Complete the NTI (New Teacher Induction) program, unless already holding a valid five‑year license or having completed an alternate route program.
• Complete the Certification of Online Learning workshop and obtain a passing score on a Technology Assessment approved by the Mississippi Department of Education.
• Complete the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning Methods Course approved by the Mississippi Department of Education.
• Complete the individualized professional development plan (PDP).
• Earn the required score on the NCCER Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician assessment.
