Summary
This position is located in Shiloh National Military Park, in the Interpretation Division. All applications submitted by 11:59 (EST) on the closing day will receive consideration. This position is being filled under the Field Unit Local Hiring Authority (FUL). See below under Additional Information for further eligibility guidance.
Major Duties- Present K-12 curriculum‑based education programs following established themes, learning objectives, curriculum requirements, guidelines, utilizing teaching methods appropriate to each grade level.
- Present teacher training workshops and staff training.
- Research, develop and present resource‑based interpretive programs for the public during peak visitation periods or if staff shortages occur.
- Provide orientation information at visitor centers and respond to visitor questions, emergencies, or other needs by phone, email or in person.
- Assist with the day‑to‑day operation of the education program including answering phones, record keeping, internal communications, correspondences, and materials maintenance and storage.
