Overview
Manufacturing Engineer at Caterpillar Remanufacturing in Corinth, Mississippi. Responsible for supporting and improving production, costs, quality, compliance, safety, and environmental requirements.
Responsibilities- Participate in identifying and implementing enhancements and modifications to equipment and processes.
- Monitor equipment and process reliability; identify and address problems.
- Analyze engineering change notices, determine any part or process change, and initiate and implement all changes.
- Provide engineering support on planning, developing, operating, and maintaining equipment, processes, or facilities.
- Degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing engineering, mechanical or industrial engineering.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing, productivity methods, and collaborative automation.
- Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, PTC Creo, Solid Works, etc.).
- Experience with tooling/fixture design, in‑process validation, error‑proofing, and MES systems such as PinPoint.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, decision‑making and communication skills.
- Experience in remanufacturing and understanding circular‑economy principles.
- Four‑year technical degree in manufacturing engineering or related discipline.
- Experience reviewing design engineering changes and ensuring the manufacturing process accommodates them.
- Experience with design requirements and management of capital assets.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Pro‑active, flexible, creative, comfortable in a complex environment.
- Knowledge of collaborative automation, robotic process automation, and related technologies.
