They have retained our firm to identify for them their next Surgical Services leader.

They perform Approximately 7,000 surgeries annually; 200 open hearts.

Responsible for the overall leadership, direction, and management of the Surgical Services Departments on a twenty-four-hour basis. Plans, directs, coordinates and evaluates the overall clinical nursing practice and administrative activities, including fiscal, material and human resource management. Provides administrative support to a team of managers in assigned patient care areas as well as ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and standards of practice.

Consults with staff, physicians and hospital administration on problems and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in committee activities.

• Bachelors of Science in Nursing required. Masters of Science in Nursing/Healthcare preferred.

• Must hold a license as a registered nurse with the Mississippi State Board of Nursing or have a compact state licensure in the state within which you reside.
