*** Our Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division currently has an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer Technician II position located in the Corinth, MS facility***. This position will ensure production Value Stream goals are met in PQVC by providing support for the Value Stream Manufacturing Engineers in the execution of project implementation and daily support of the operations team as warranted. The candidate will assist the Engineers in developing print packages for RFQ’s, tooling and fixtures, CI card completion, Standard Work and other QSI / ETQ documentation creation and maintenance, and related tasks as needed.

This position will be supporting all paint, post-paint, marine/military engine assembly, and block spin test and packing processes at LEF.
** Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
*** Operator should have attention to detail and be self-motivated.
* Operator will work in a team environment.
* Operator is expected to cross train in other areas of operations to provide flexibility within the job classification scope.
* Support NPI and implementation of updated processes
* Support installation and run off of new equipment
* Trial and runoff of new tools and associated training of group leaders and operators
* Investigation and implementation of VS CI cards
* Assist in troubleshooting equipment problems
* Evaluating and updating standard work, process flow, control plan, FMEA documents
* Interfacing with operations and other cross functional groups in addition to engineering team members
* Expected to determine and perform root cause corrective analyses and actions.
* Attend and actively participate in safety and team meetings
* MES work instructions / MBOM improvements
* Purchase needed tooling and supplies through Caterpillar’s Purchase Order System
* Attend and actively participate in safety and team meetings
* Attend and actively participate in LEAN events and workshops
*
* Basic Qualifications:

*** 2+ years in a Cat Remanufacturing facility
** OR
* * Equivalent Previous Manufacturing Experience
** OR
* * a Bachelor's degree in a manufacturing or engineering related field
* High proficiency of PC skills including e-mail, Microsoft Office applications
* Experience reading and understanding blueprints
* Experience reading and understanding precision gauges/torque and torque devices
* Experience troubleshooting and resolving problems, recognizing the need for support, and creating teams to accomplish tasks if necessary.
* Experience with process flow diagrams, control plans, and PFMEA.

* Experience working with bill of materials
