Full-time and PRN positions available.

Provides direct and indirect patient care. Communicates with physicians about changes in a patient's clinical condition, including assessment, planning and implementation of patient care. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Performs general nursing duties in all nursing departments with adequate training and supervision. Participates in departmental PI improvement projects.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Licensed by the Mississippi Board of Nursing or Compact State Licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Preferred experience in nursing units (not required).
• National Certification as required by specific nursing units.
• Strong communication skills, ability to speak effectively and professionally to staff, management, and outside individuals.
• Proficiency in applying basic and advanced mathematical skills for calculating medications, IV drip rates, and medication dosages.
• Non-judgmental reasoning ability to deal with patients, staff, and visitors.

Physical demands include sitting, standing, talking, hearing alarms; using hands and fingers to feel and touch; pushing, pulling; crouching or crawling; stooping; kneeling; reaching with hands and arms; and tasting or smelling. Up to 50 lbs of force may be required occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly. Vision: close, distance, and color vision required; must identify and distinguish colors, have peripheral vision, and judge depth perception.
