Overview

Four Stars Nissan is looking for a Staff Accountant – HR & Payroll Specialist to join our team! This role ensures smooth payroll processing, accurate financial reporting, and effective HR administration. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with prior experience in payroll, accounting, and HR functions, preferably in an automotive or dealership setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily cash, check, and credit card deposit
  • Posting of daily service warranty claims
  • Posting of daily factory invoices
  • Daily floor plan activity
  • Processing of bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls
  • Monthly statement reconciliations (factory, floor plan, etc.)
  • Monthly finance reserve statement entry and adjustments
  • Monthly salesperson commissions and bonus calculations
  • Prepare monthly VIT reports and make related payments
  • Assist the Dealership Controller in overseeing certain schedules designated by the Controller
  • Assist Controller with end of month closeout entries
  • Back up certain accounting clerk desks as needed
  • Posting the employee benefits statements and ensuring accuracy in billing and deductions
  • Coordinating open enrollment for benefits each cycle
  • Onboarding new hires and securing proper new hire and employment documentation
  • Coordinating background checks and drug screens for potential candidates
  • Maintaining employee information in the payroll system
  • Assisting as a liaison between the store and the recruiting team
  • Other duties that may be assigned
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in automotive payroll, HR, and accounting is required
  • Previous experience with CDK is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing, benefits administration, and reconciliations
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and accounting software
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Schedule & Compensation

This role will be Monday-Friday. $26-32/hr depending on experience.
