QualificationsEducation and Certification
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Master’s degree (preferred)
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for the subject and level assigned
- ESL certification (preferred; or obtain within one year of hire)
Experience
- One (1) year of clinical teaching (preferred; may substitute with one (1) year of full‑time teaching experience)
Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of subject(s) assigned
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, including differentiation based on learning styles
- Knowledge of data information systems and data analysis for action plans
- Demonstrated competency in core academic subject area
- Ability to instruct students and manage behavior

- Advanced organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

- Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula and provide accommodations per IEPs
