Position OverviewOur client is seeking a highly detail-oriented Inventory & Reconciliation Accountant to support daily inventory reporting, compliance tracking, and reconciliation processes across multiple operating sites. This role is critical to maintaining accurate financial and operational records tied to company credit facilities and customer reporting. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable operating within structured workflows where precision and consistency are essential.
This is an execution-focused role responsible for accuracy, reliability, and process adherence rather than process redesign or financial strategy.
- Perform weekly reconciliation of physical inventory to system records across multiple locations
- Maintain inventory databases and update records tied to mine operations and material movement
- Support cycle counts and verify inventory discrepancies
- Prepare daily and periodic reporting tied to operational and financial compliance requirements
- Validate shipping, receiving, and logistics documentation (invoices, bills of lading, etc.)
- Ensure all data is entered accurately and consistently following established workflows
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Communicate findings and elevate issues when necessary
- Maintain organized documentation for audit and credit reporting purposes
- Follow defined processes and approval paths before implementing changes
- 2-5+ years of accounting, inventory accounting, reconciliation, or similar experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume data environments
- Comfortable performing repetitive, deadline-driven work
- Ability to follow structured processes and maintain consistency
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficient in Excel and accounting/ERP systems
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities
- Inventory or cost accounting in manufacturing, mining, commodities, distribution, or logistics environments
- Exposure to borrowing-base, compliance, or audit-sensitive reporting
- Experience reviewing shipping or logistics documentation
- Small team environment experience
