Part-Time Chemistry Teacher, SAT/ACT Math Tutor, and AP Math Tutor. The educator will design and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning instruction aligned with course standards, conducting diagnostic assessments, and monitoring student progress. The role also involves preparing students for standardized tests such as the SAT and ACT, focusing on math problem-solving strategies, test-taking skills, and content review.

The educator will communicate regularly with students, families, and center staff to support academic success and maintain accurate records of sessions and outcomes.

• Strong teaching and instructional skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt methods to different learning styles.
• Proficiency in chemistry education, including foundational and advanced topics appropriate for middle school, high school, and AP levels.
• Solid knowledge of advanced mathematics relevant to SAT/ACT and AP math curricula.
• Experience with lesson planning and curriculum development that aligns with academic standards and test-preparation goals.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with students, families, and colleagues in a professional and supportive manner.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Education, or a closely related field; teaching certification is beneficial but not required.
• Prior experience tutoring or teaching in a school or learning center setting, including test preparation for SAT/ACT and AP courses.
• Ability to work on-site in Davidson, NC, maintain consistent scheduling, and manage small-group and one-on-one sessions responsibly.
