Structural Design Engineer

This is a full-time role for a Structural Design Engineer based in Cornelius, NC.

• Independently perform structural analysis / design in accordance with current code requirements and accepted engineering standards using both manual and computer methods.
• Preparation and review of structural plans, sections, details, elevations and edit specifications
• Ability to coordinate design and resolution of issues with Architects and other industry consultants through excellent verbal and written communication
• Professional representation at project meetings, pre-fabrication, pre-construction and construction meetings
• Perform all construction administration related tasks including addressing RFI's and site visits as required

• BS accredited Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural is required
• 5-10 years of experience as a PE designing commercial buildings of various types
• Knowledge of Light Gauge Design
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and REVIT software
• Excellent working knowledge of I.B.C., ASCE 7, ACI 318 and AISC
• Knowledgeable insight of gravity and lateral load paths in commercial buildings
• Proficient in RISA Structural Design software preferred
