Responsibilities

Kforce is working with a client in Cornelius, NC that is seeking a Senior E‑Learning Specialist for a 6‑month contract period. The E‑Learning Specialist will support franchise success through engaging, scalable, and easy to consume learning experiences and will focus on developing and maintaining digital training content for franchise partners, field teams, and internal stakeholders across the organization.

  • Develop clear, creative, and accessible learning materials, courses/modules, and VILT using authoring tools (i.e. Articulate Rise, Elucidat, etc.) aligned with e‑learning best practices
  • Partner with subject‑matter experts to analyze learning needs and translate content into effective e‑learning experiences
  • Track participation, measure effectiveness, and share insights
  • Design, deliver, and maintain training programs that support employee onboarding, upskilling, and ongoing development
  • Develop interactive elements such as simulations, scenario‑based learning, and assessments to support learner engagement and retention
  • Incorporate multimedia elements (audio, video, graphics) to enhance learning outcomes
  • Apply accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG 2.2, Section 508) to ensure e‑learning content is usable and accessible to support diverse learner needs
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to assess learning needs and translate them into effective training solutions
  • Manage learning initiatives across multiple teams while ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with business goals
  • Apply SCORM standards within e‑learning authoring tools to ensure compatibility, tracking, and reporting across LMS platforms
Requirements
  • 6‑10+ years of experience in technical writing, process documentation, or business documentation within complex organizations
  • Extensive experience creating, editing, and maintaining SOPs, process documentation, system guides, FAQs, and reference materials for internal and external audiences
  • Proven ability to produce franchise‑facing documentation that supports operational processes, system usage, and enterprise initiatives
  • Strong expertise in translating complex systems, workflows, and technical concepts into clear, actionable documentation for non‑technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to write in plain, business‑friendly language while preserving accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Experience working closely with senior business, operations, IT, and product stakeholders to gather requirements and validate content
  • Ability to own documentation end‑to‑end, from discovery and content strategy through delivery, updates, and governance
  • Strong editorial judgment with a proven track record of maintaining consistency, quality, and accuracy across large bodies of content
  • Experience organizing and structuring documentation to improve usability, adoption, scalability, and long‑term maintenance
  • Comfortable managing multiple work streams and priorities with minimal oversight
  • Advanced proficiency with documentation and collaboration tools (e.g., Word, SharePoint, Confluence, knowledge bases, version control)
Compensation and Benefits

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
