Truss Production Manager

Job Summary

PARR is the total source for homebuilding supplies, solutions, and services, serving professional home builders of all sizes. Pay: $72,803-$89,603 annually.

The Truss Production Manager will manage the production team—including Truss Builders, Truss Stackers, and Forklift Operators—and coordinate production schedules to meet deadlines. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager or Assistant Plant Manager and works closely with production staff and internal/external customers.

• Ensure that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently.
• Oversee day‑to‑day production management and scheduling of work orders.
• Strategically maximize production capacity while motivating employees.
• Prioritize the work schedule and communicate daily with production staff.
• Ensure repair and maintenance of production equipment.
• Implement quality assurance measures.
• Manage inventory purchasing and storage processes.
• Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• 2 years of previous experience in a similar job.
• 2 years of management experience.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Class C driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Knowledgeable in trusses and building materials.
• Maintain knowledge of all manufacturing processes and production equipment.
• Proficient with personal computer, smartphone, scanner, and related equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Fluent in English;
  Spanish fluency is a plus.
• Ability to operate puncture‑, slip‑resistant shoes made of leather or composite material.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, professional demeanor, and commitment to customer service.
• Sound judgment in handling sensitive business matters and maintaining confidentiality.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance workplace outcomes.
• Effective communication with all levels of management and employees.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time‑management skills.

The role includes both office work with a computer and regular manufacturing duties. The primary work window is 6am–6pm, typically 50 hours per week, in a salaried position.

• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and carry objects up to 50 feet.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to drive a company vehicle when required.
• Local and overnight travel may be required.
• Utilization of appropriate safety equipment.

Production team

• Start earning 2 weeks of vacation per year on day 1, increasing to a maximum of 4 weeks.
