American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position in Cornelius, NC, requiring 3 years of acute OR experience and Epic proficiency.

• Works in a 3-OR surgical suite with an average daily census of approximately 10 cases
• Patient population is primarily adults, with some pediatric ENT cases; surgical specialties include general, GYN, orthopedics (total joints, ORIFs, sports medicine upper extremity), and urology
• Robotic surgery platform in use:
  Medtronic Hugo (experience not required)
• EMR:
  Epic (experience required)
• IV pump:
  Alaris; medication dispensing:
  Omnicell
• Schedule is 12-hour day shifts, 0630–1900, with rotating days off each week
• On-call requirements: one weeknight per week (1830–0630) and every 5th weekend (Saturday 0630–Monday 0630), with a 30-minute callback time
• Holiday coverage is required for 50% of holidays (call only)
• No floating required

• Active NC RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of acute OR experience required
• Experience with general, GYN, orthopedic, and urology surgical cases required
• Circulating experience required; scrubbing experience strongly preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must be comfortable working independently, as the sole RN on callback
• Candidate's permanent address must be located 50+ miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• One professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN, required for consideration
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration

• Responsibilities include circulating in the OR across a range of surgical specialties, with scrubbing duties preferred
• Daytime team consists of 5–6 RNs and 4–5 Surgical Techs;
  Charge RN is available during scheduled shifts but not on callback
• Anesthesiology (MD/CRNA), RT, and hospitalist coverage available 24/7; facility leadership and administration reachable by phone after hours
• Orientation includes facility NEO and 2 buddy shifts, including buddy call
• Schedule is built in 6-week increments; block scheduling is not guaranteed but the team will make reasonable efforts to accommodate preferences
• RTO requests must be approved through the manager
• Scrubs are provided by the facility; extended sizing available
• Free parking on site
• Candidates who have held a permanent position at any AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible
