Job Summary
The RN Clinical Nurse I provides professional nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies, procedures, and/or protocols under the supervision of the nursing leader. Assists in maintaining a safe work environment and performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner. Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the population of patients served.
EssentialFunctions
- Collects data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or the situation.
- Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses, problems, and issues.
- Identifies expected outcomes for an individualized plan.
- Develops a plan prescribing strategies to achieve measurable outcomes.
- Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
- Delegates elements of care to appropriate workers in accordance with legal or policy parameters.
- Evaluates progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes.
- Practices in a manner that respects cultural diversity and inclusion principles.
- Communicates effectively in all areas of practice.
- Collaborates with the healthcare consumer and stakeholders in nursing practice.

- Evaluates one’s own and others’ nursing practice relative to professional standards, guidelines, laws, rules, and regulations.

- Promotes shared governance, decision‑making activities, and nurtures research to positively affect clinical outcomes.
Walk, stand, sit, lift, reach, stoop, bend, push, and pull; must lift up to 35 pounds. Must speak English clearly and have intact vision, hearing, smell, touch, and finger dexterity. Requires critical thinking, concentration, and the ability to respond quickly to changes in patient or unit conditions. Physical abilities testing required.
Education, Experience and Certifications- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification per the American Heart Association.
- Current RN license or temporary RN license in the state of work, or meet licensing requirements via the National License Compact.
- Pay range: $38.20 – $57.30 per hour.
- Base compensation based on qualifications, skills, experience, and training.
