RN: PCU​/IMC​/Stepdown

Job Description:

Join our team as a registered nurse on a newly opening PCU unit in Cornelius, North Carolina. This 12-hour night shift position offers the chance to work in a supportive environment where the focus is on adult medical patients such as CHF, COPD, ventilated and trached patients, GI bleeds, DKA, sepsis, dialysis patients, and diabetic patients with insulin drips. You’ll be expected to perform a variety of skills including IV starts, wound care, dressing changes, central line management, NG tube insertion, and titrating critical drips like Cardizem, amiodarone, nitro, heparin, and insulin.

The unit operates at a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio and emphasizes teamwork, with support from RT and hospitalist staff available around the clock. Epic EMR experience is required, and flexibility with floating within a region to facilities such as Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, or CMC hospitals will be expected. This role provides an engaging opportunity to grow your skill set in a brand-new unit with a focus on adult medical care and a focus on collaborative patient management.
