Where You Will WorkThe Med-Surg unit at Atrium Health Lake Norman is a 24-bed unit offering a fast-paced, team-focused environment dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Nurses on this unit manage a diverse range of medical and post-surgical patients, providing valuable experience and opportunities to build strong inpatient clinical skills. With a bedside ratio of 1:6, the unit supports safe, efficient care while fostering collaboration among nurses, providers, and interdisciplinary teams.
Teamwork, communication, and a commitment to compassionate care are at the core of the unit’s culture.
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS are required within 6 months of hire
- 1 year of med surg experience preferred
- As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
