As a Business Development Representative, you will be at the forefront of our mission to expand our horizons. Collaborating closely with our talented Sales team, your focus will be on proactively reaching out to potential customers. Your tasks will be identifying, qualifying, and successfully closing new business opportunities.
Responsibilities- Generating appointments and new business opportunities through proactive outbound prospecting activities, 60-70 calls a day and 20-30 emails per day.
- Collaborating closely with the sales and marketing teams to identify and uncover potential leads and opportunities.
- Demonstrating and teaching strong selling and influencing skills to effectively engage prospects.
- Conducting thorough research on prospective clients to understand their needs and challenges.
- Scheduling and coordinating meetings with clients to present our products/services and discuss how we can meet their requirements.
- Actively maintaining and updating the CRM database with accurate and detailed information.
- Collaborating with the sales and marketing teams to optimize lead generation strategies and campaigns.
- Providing feedback and insights from prospect interactions to enhance our sales and marketing efforts. Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to identify opportunities and threats.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma required. Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably SaaS technology or automotive industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Goal-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
- Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools.
- A willingness to travel occasionally, if required (car, train, air, etc.). Please note this role is based out of our Cornelius, NC office (employees in this role are required to work on-site).
- Ability to work during non-traditional business hours (i.e. nights, weekends, and holidays) as needed.
