** Cornelius Veterinary Clinic
** is seeking an
** Experienced Part-Time Veterinary Assistant
** to join our small-animal team. We primarily care for dogs and cats, with occasional care for rabbits, ferrets, and other small mammals.

* What You’ll Do:

*** Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams, treatments, and patient care
* Restrain and safely handle patients
* Obtain and record patient vital signs
* Assist with laboratory testing, radiographs, and basic procedures
* Prepare patients for surgery and assist with surgical monitoring and recovery
* Provide nursing care, including feeding, cleaning, medicating, and monitoring hospitalized patients
* Assist with client communication, patient check-in/check-out, and medication instructions
* Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical spaces
* Follow OSHA, safety, sanitation, and patient-care protocols

* What We’re Looking For:

*** High school diploma or equivalent, or currently pursuing one
* Previous veterinary experience is preferred but not required
* Strong animal-handling and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance as needed
