Job Purpose:
To deliver on the mission of Wilco by profitably providing superior customer service.
Job Summary:
Be the product knowledge expert and merchandise, stock, sign, and provide customer service, upholding department standards where assigned. Sell products, provide product information, ensure complete bin tagging and signing, and maintain a clean department. Lead the department and collaborate with the store team to enhance the overall department performance.

Store Manager / Assistant Store Manager
Supervisors:
Staff in assigned department
- Lead and manage store personnel in assigned departments, including scheduling, training, mentoring, coaching, and evaluating employees.
- Partner with the Store Manager on staff selection and other HR functions.
- Understand the needs of customers and provide and ensure customer service in assigned departments.
- Merchandise, stock, and sign departmental products utilizing established standards.
- Be informed and provide product information to customers and the store team in the designated department, and further develop department product knowledge.
- Maintain department orderliness and cleanliness by complying with all established standards.
- Recommend and participate with other inter‑departmental team members in efforts to improve the value of the department.
- Fill in at other departments and cashier positions as needed.
- Attend regular and special meetings as requested.
- Maintain and comply with all established retail standards.
- Stock store merchandise as directed.
- Skill to operate a computer and other automated office machines.
- Ability to perform arithmetic calculations.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to interact effectively with customers and co‑workers.
- Ability to obtain specialized training certifications (i.e., Stihl, Benjamin Moore, etc.)
- Two years of retail department experience.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
