Role

Summary:

Member of a cross-functional software engineering team that provides Corning R&D labs and/or pilot operations with applications that interface and automate lab equipment to run metrology and measurement processes and collect data for the technical community at Sullivan Park campus.

This role offers the opportunity to learn and grow under the mentorship of experienced engineers while contributing to meaningful R&D software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

* Contribute as a member of an engineering project team focused on delivering cost-effective software solutions and services to Corning's R&D facilities.

* Collaborate with project team members to solve software-related problems and build understanding of process design and interface requirements.

* Assist in defining and documenting software design specifications, developing design concepts, and contributing engineering recommendations under the guidance of senior team members.

* Support the creation of new software capabilities that align with Corning's software development standards.

* Provide regular updates on assigned tasks, progress, and issues to the project team and lead.

Required Qualifications:

* BS in Software Design, Software Development, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar program.

* Recent graduates and candidates with 0-2 years of experience are encouraged to
