** Machinist

** Sullivan Park Research & Development team** , where you will help fabricate prototype parts, tools, and equipment that support cutting-edge technology development.

This is not a high-volume production role. This is
** R&D machining in a highly innovative*
* ** environment** , where precision, creativity, and problem-solving come together to support new technologies and breakthrough ideas.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Fabricate and assemble
** prototype parts and equipment
** for research and development projects.

+ Set up and operate a variety of CNC and manual machines, including:

+ CNC Lathes.

+ 3-axis and 5-axis CNC Mills.

+ Wire EDM.

+ Surface Grinders.

+ Drill Presses.

+ Manual Lathes.

+ Manual Mills.

+ Straight Vertical Milling Machines.

+ Write, edit, and modify machine programs to meet design specifications and quality standards.

+ Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.

+ Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment.

+ Troubleshoot machining and process issues.

+ Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment.

+ Work closely with designs, ideas, and prototype concepts to bring new technology to life.

** What We're Looking For*
* *
* Required:

*
* + High School Diploma or GED.

+ One of the following:

+ 4 years of applicable machine shop experience or military equivalent.

+ Journeyman or Class "A" status.

+ 2-year Machine Tool Technology degree.

+ Certificate in a relevant field with at least 1 year of experience.

+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

+ Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and problem-solving ability.

** Preferred:*

Experience with
** Mastercam, Solid Works, or NC programming software.*
* +  
** 5-axis machining experience.*
* +

Experience with
** Haas, Mazak, Fanuc, or similar controls.*
* If you have strong machining fundamentals but do not have 5-axis or programming experience, we still encourage you to apply.
