Drive economic growth in North Glengarry as an Economic Development Officer. Focus on strategies for business retention and expansion while fostering community relationships in a dynamic municipal setting.

This role reports to the Director of Community Services and requires developing and implementing economic strategies, engaging local businesses, and collaborating with various stakeholders. Your leadership will enhance tourism and support community initiatives, while managing committees related to arts and heritage. This position requires strong planning and communication skills to attract and retain businesses for the Township.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build relationships with businesses and stakeholders

• Implement economic development strategies and priorities

• Conduct business outreach and site visits

• Facilitate meetings with developers and investors

• Organize community and networking events

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in a relevant field

• Minimum of three years in economic development

• Knowledge of land use planning processes

• Strong communication and analytical skills

• Valid Class G driver’s license required
