Our client, a well-established leader in their industry located in Corona,CA, is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their team. This role plays a key part in the month-end close process and ongoing accounting operations. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent Excel skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do- Support full month-end close activities
- Prepare journal entries and general ledger reconciliations
- Complete bank and suspense account reconciliations
- Record incoming wire transfers and returned transactions
- Maintain accurate backlog profitability reporting
- Handle monthly revenue entries, accruals, reclasses, and allocations
- Run ESSBASE during close cycles and as needed for overhead tracking and comparisons
- Assist with fixed asset cycles when required
- Prepare commission packages for internal review
- Support AP as needed
- Contribute to weekly/monthly reporting deliverables
- Assist with special projects and ad-hoc analysis
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of general accounting experience
- Strong Excel and MS Office proficiency
- JD Edwards experience a plus (not required)
- Accurate, organized, and proactive approach to work
