The Assistant Corporate Accounting Manager will work both independently and as part of a team. This role will participate in the monthly and quarterly closing procedures and will deliver consistent, accurate information in a timely manner. The individual will also assist the Accounting Manager with responsibilities including managing the month‑end close process and quarterly reporting, preparing the Company’s SEC filings, training staff as needed, and supporting interim and year‑end audits.
To be successful in this position, the individual must effectively manage time, demonstrate a high level of organizational skills, and uphold honesty and integrity when producing, delivering, and distributing information. A high level of confidentiality must be maintained at all times.
- Participate in various aspects of the monthly/quarterly closing process including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation and timely filing of reports required with the SEC, including reports on 10-Q, 10-K and other filings.
- Produce clear and organized work papers that adequately support the Company’s SEC filings.
- Assist with interim/year‑end audits.
- Perform special projects as needed.
- Assist the Accounting Manager with managing the consolidation process of multiple subsidiaries including intercompany reconciliation and foreign currency accounting.
- Assist the Accounting Manager with managing month‑end closing activities, preparation of quarterly consolidated financial statements, SEC filings, and training/managing staff as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
4+ years of accounting experience required including public accounting experience – Big 4 preferred.
Strong understanding of US GAAP.
Exceptional organizational skills and verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail, problem solving, solid analytical skills and follow-through skills are essential.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong proficiency in Excel.
Monster Energy provides a competitive total compensation. This position has an estimated annual salary of $107,000 - $112,000. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
