Construction Project Engineer

Portrait Construction, Inc., a General Contractor in Corona, California is seeking an energetic, experienced professional to assist Project Managers in all phases of the construction of large multi-family apartment projects. This position requires excellent communication and collaboration skills along with computer and multi-tasking skills.

This is an in-office position, and candidates must be able to work on-site at our Corona location with occasional travel to job sites.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related construction field — or a graduating senior completing their degree by June 2026. No prior work experience required.
• 2+ years’ experience preferred in construction project coordination, project engineering, or a related role within the construction or design industry (e.g., architectural, engineering, or consulting firms).

• Assist in coordinating the efforts of all parties involved in the project, which include the architects, consultants, contractors, subcontractor’s superintendents and laborers.
• Ensure project documents are complete.
• Processing of RFI’s (requests for information) sent to project architects.
• Provide scheduling support to assigned projects.
• Assist with processing change orders / purchase orders.
• Process & prepare meeting agendas and meeting minutes.
• Organizing and maintaining a library of project documents.
• Other project duties as required by the Project Manager.
• Light travel to project site may be required.

• Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word, and Outlook required.
• Pro Core, Blue Beam and Timberline experience a plus.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of principles, practices, and codes
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
