Portrait Construction, Inc., a General Contractor in Corona is seeking an experienced professional to control, direct and oversee all phases of the construction of large multi-family projects. This position requires work at corporate office and specific project locations.
Successful candidates must be open to learning, be detail oriented, disciplined, and have the ability to work independently all while demonstrating a positive attitude with team members.
Qualifications- Documented experience as a Project Manager.
- Apartment experience: projects with 3+ stories.
- Experience managing projects with budgets ranging from $15M to $50M.
- Strong knowledge of the multi-family/apartment construction industry and the quality standards related to apartment building communities.
- Expertise in site development and apartment building construction methods.
- Experience in MS Project, Excel, Word, Outlook and Pro Core preferred.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of principles, practices, and codes for residential construction.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Ability to produce and modify project schedules.
- Manage all facets of the project, including bid and award, pre-construction, construction, and close-out phases.
- Coordinate with project architects, designers, owners, subcontractors and field personnel.
- Manage and ensure that construction activities move according to predetermined schedule.
- Communicate effectively with the contractors responsible for completing various phases of the project.
- Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with all the sub-teams.
- Manage project related documents, including but not limited to subcontracts, change orders, buyouts, etc. throughout project entirety.
- Monitor the team and subcontractors’ performances to ensure they are compliant with contractual agreements and adhering to quality and safety standards.
- Identify the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims.
- Manage project budget, project schedule and cost control throughout life of the project.
- Prepare reports for upper management and investors with project status.
