PositionSummary
The FAA Quality Assurance Manager ensures adherence to all FAA/EASA/CAAC/CAA regulations, including 14 CFR Parts 21, OEM technical data, and Repair Station Manuals (RSQM).
Principal Activities- Oversee the repair station’s capabilities list, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory bodies (FAA, EASA, CAAC, CAA).
- Provide guidance and oversight of the 14 CFR Part 21 manufacturing organization.
- Create and update Repair Station Manuals and Supplemental Manuals, including policies and procedures.
- Support repair station inspections, technicians, and personnel with day‑to‑day operational tasks.
- Develop, manage, and conduct all required repair station training in accordance with the Training Program Manual.
- Oversee the Anti‑Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program.
- Conduct internal audits and facilitate customer audits.
- Manage and/or facilitate Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCA).
- Act as a liaison with all applicable regulatory agencies (FAA, EASA, CAAC, CAA) on matters affecting the Repair Station.
- Ensure the repair station roster, stamp control, and employee summaries are current and compliant with regulations.
- Proactively recommend solutions to improve product durability and overall performance.
- Analyze data using hypothesis testing, normal distribution, and process capability analysis.
- Apply lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement in quality engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a repair station.
- Proven ability to develop solutions requiring cross‑functional coordination across program requirements.
- Strong knowledge of FAA, EASA, CAAC, CAA regulations, including 14 CFR Parts 21 and 145.
- Proven leadership experience in quality assurance.
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Thorough knowledge of airworthiness certification requirements and regulatory agencies (FAA, EASA, CAAC, CAA, TC) relevant to business needs.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and AS9110 quality system requirements.
- Experience interacting with FAA officials.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient in MS Office programs.
Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Sciences, Quality Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Prior experience as an FAA Accountable Manager or delegate.
