Corner Turn, LLC is seeking a mid to senior level Electrical Engineer (EE). This role serves as an Electronics Engineer and Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support Navy programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Serve as the project’s lead Electronics Engineer and support the Project Manager with assigned tasking
• Serve as SME for an active acoustic array that includes a suite of high-power class D switching amplifiers
• Provide remote support for fleet users
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure electro-mechanical systems integrate with Naval ships and support necessary mission operations
• Lead design and specification reviews internally/externally with sponsors, customers and stakeholders
• Coordinate and support repair/maintenance activities during vessel in-port periods
• Support pier side and at-sea testing of the active acoustic array
• Support procurements and maintain accurate inventory of materials
• Generate or update technical documentation
• Provide technical training on amplifiers as SME
• Travel up to 15% CONUS/OCONUS
Skills and Experience:
Required:
• U.S. Citizenship. Must have or be willing to apply for DOD security clearance
• Ability to design, analyze, and optimize power systems and general analog/digital circuits for various applications and power distribution systems
• Ability to identify, localize, and diagnose faults in electrical systems
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to create technical documentation such as design specifications, user manuals, and test reports
• Ability to accept high degree of responsibility and to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based organization
• Knowledge of a wide range of manufacturing/prototyping processes
• Using IEEE and/or Military standards
Preferred:
• Shipyard experience
• Familiarity with programming
• Knowledge and experience with active sonar arrays
