Drafter — Telecom Construction
Small enough to know your name, established enough to keep you working, join a family-owned telecom construction team built on loyalty and craftsmanship.
We're recruiting on behalf of a family-owned telecom construction company that's built its reputation on treating every project and every employee like family. This isn't a revolving-door corporate shop; it's a close-knit team where your work is valued, your growth is invested in, and you'll have real job stability in an industry that's only growing. We're looking for a Drafter to join their engineering team, producing construction drawings and wind loading analyses for towers, monopoles, rooftops, and small-cell installations.
Family-owned, family-run — real relationships, not just a paycheck. Stable, growing pipeline of telecom infrastructure work. A team that invests in your skills and your future. Competitive pay and benefits.
Produce construction drawings (CDs), structural details, and site plans for towers, monopoles, rooftops, and small-cell/DAS installations. Prepare mount design drawings, antenna and equipment layouts, grounding plans, and foundation details. Draft as-built drawings from field survey and site audit data. Prepare and/or review wind loading (structural) analyses for towers, monopoles, and mounts using industry software (PLS-Tower, PLS-Pole, tnx Tower, or similar), applying TIA-222 standards, wind/ice loading, and applicable building codes.
Flag structures exceeding allowable capacity and coordinate with engineers on solutions. Collaborate closely with project managers, field techs, and structural engineers — this is a team where people actually talk to each other. Support permitting submittals with accurate, code-compliant drawing packages.
Required:
2+ years of drafting experience, ideally in telecom, tower construction, or structural/civil design. Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D a plus). Working knowledge of wind/structural loading concepts, or eagerness to learn TIA-222 standards. Strong attention to detail and comfort managing multiple projects e to Have:
Experience with PLS-Tower, PLS-Pole, tnx Tower, or similar structural analysis tools. Familiarity with TIA-222-G/H, IBC, and local jurisdictional requirements. Prior experience with major wireless carrier drawing standards (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Dish). Associate degree or certificate in drafting, civil/structural engineering technology, or related field.
(If this job is in fact in your jurisdiction, then you may be using a Proxy or VPN to access this site, and to progress further, you should change your connectivity to another mobile device or PC).
