The Loan Processor at Cal One Real Estate is a full-time, on-site position based in Corona, CA. This role is responsible for gathering, reviewing, and organizing loan documents from clients and third parties to ensure complete and accurate loan files. The Loan Processor will verify income, assets, credit, and property information, and prepare files for underwriting and closing in alignment with company and lender guidelines.
Daily tasks include communicating with borrowers, real estate agents, lenders, and internal team members to resolve conditions, clarify requirements, and maintain clear expectations on timelines. The role also involves tracking loan milestones, updating systems and records, ensuring compliance with regulatory and investor standards, and supporting a smooth, timely closing experience for all parties.
- Demonstrated experience with loan processing, including managing end-to-end workflows for residential real estate loans.
- Strong proficiency in handling loan documents, including reviewing, organizing, and validating required disclosures and supporting documentation.
- Basic understanding of underwriting principles and guidelines, with the ability to prepare files and conditions for underwriter review.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain requirements, timelines, and next steps to borrowers and partners.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously.
- Familiarity with mortgage/loan origination systems and standard office productivity tools (e.g., CRM, LOS, spreadsheets, email).
- Knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, or other common loan products and related documentation is highly beneficial.
- Previous experience in mortgage lending, banking, or real estate transactions preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in finance, real estate, or related fields are a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in Corona, CA, and collaborate effectively with a fast-paced, client-focused team.
