Director of IT (Enterprise Level) - Onsite
Director of IT at a growing, premium brand-focused sales, marketing, and distribution company in Southern California. This is a hands-on strategic leadership role with full P&M responsibility for technology and a clear growth path.
As the enterprise technology leader reporting, you will drive IT strategy, AI program maturity, ERP modernization, infrastructure, cybersecurity, governance, and digital transformation in a dynamic sales and distribution environment with multiple distribution centers and in-house logistics.
Key Priorities & Impact (First 6-12 Months):- Mature and scale the AI program - advancing literacy, automation, Co-Pilot initiatives, citizen development, and responsible governance into measurable enterprise value.
- Lead ERP modernization as the flagship initiative, building on completed third-party current-state analysis toward future-state design, cloud optimization, and operational excellence.
- Strengthen foundational IT capabilities: governance, steering committees, PMO discipline, ITSM/SOPs, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
- Optimize team performance and structure, elevate IT’s strategic partnership across the business, and improve perception through strong execution and cross-functional collaboration.
- Leadership Style: Proven hands-on technology executive with strong presence - disciplined in budget, governance, and results while providing supportive coaching. Holds teams accountable, navigates team dynamics, breaks down business silos, and drives change adoption at the right pace.
- Strategic & Technical Expertise: Deep experience developing enterprise roadmaps, leading AI strategy/governance, and executing large-scale ERP modernizations. Technical depth to evaluate solutions, challenge recommendations, and guide architecture decisions. Sales, distribution, logistics, and inventory systems experience highly preferred.
- Experience: 10 years progressive enterprise IT leadership with full budget responsibility (~$M’s OPEX/CAPEX scale ideal). Track record delivering measurable business outcomes in mid-sized, growing organizations. Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s or relevant certifications (IT, AI, cybersecurity, PMP) preferred. - Personal Attributes: Strategic thinker with execution discipline, high emotional intelligence, collaborative yet performance-driven, visionary yet pragmatic, and aligned with a family-oriented, high-standards culture.
- Competitive total compensation package for a Director-level role
- Opportunity to make a visible, lasting impact on a growth-oriented organization with strong brand heritage and ambitious expansion plans.
- Onsite
