We are an international logistics company providing end-to-end supply chain solutions, including ocean freight, air freight, trucking, warehousing, customs clearance and e-com orders handling. With strong cross-border operations and a focus on regulated and complex cargo, we are looking for an in-house licensed customs broker to strengthen and smooth customs clearance process and increase service quality for our customers.
The Licensed U.S. Customs Broker will serve as the responsible broker for our customs brokerage operations. This role will oversee customs clearance activities, keep up with tariff changes, ensure full compliance with CBP regulations, and play a key role in building and scaling our brokerage function nationwide.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the Licensed Customs Broker of record
, responsible for all customs brokerage activities. - File and supervise customs entries through ACE / ABI.
- Ensure compliance with CBP regulations (19 CFR) and all applicable trade laws.
- Review and approve HTS classification, customs valuation, and country of origin and marking.
- Manage Power of Attorney (POA) and client compliance documentation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with CBP and other government agencies.
- Proactively solve all customs related issues to ensure smooth customs transaction.
- Establish and maintain SOPs, internal controls, and compliance procedures.
- Support audits, inquiries, and post-entry corrections.
- Collaborate with operations, sales, and management teams to support business growth.
- Active U.S. Customs Broker License (must have).
- Eligibility to act as a qualifying / responsible broker for a customs brokerage permit.
- Strong working knowledge of HTSUS, customs valuation, entry procedures, bonds and record-keeping requirements.
- Experience filing entries via ACE / ABI.
- High attention to detail and strong compliance mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Prior experience working with a freight forwarder or a trading company.
- Familiarity with regulated cargo (electronics, batteries, FDA/FCC‑related products). Hazardous cargo handling experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and build processes from the ground up.
- Experience working with an international team.
