DC Team Member Seasonal - Facilities

Due to COVID-19 and your safety, we have adapted our hiring processes. If selected for an interview, a member of the recruiting team will reach out to you to schedule a VIRTUAL interview date and time with a Zumiez DC department manager. Those that successfully pass the interview process and are offered a position will be required to take an on-site drug screen (socially distanced, of course!).

Work Schedule:
Monday -- Friday 3PM -- 11:30PM, with overtime if needed
Note:
You must be at least 18 years old to work at the Zumiez Distribution Center

To clean and maintain the distribution center (DC) common areas and process outgoing refuse and recyclables to optimize total building product flow. Position requires proficiency in using cleaning chemicals and common tools safely and the ability to work well individually and in a team environment.

• Perform cleaning tasks of common areas throughout the DC to include but not limited to bathrooms, lunch area, employee lounge, kitchen areas, offices, walkways/aisles and parking lot. This includes normal routine duties and as conditions dictate
• Refuse and recycling
• Perform all job duties in accordance with standard operating procedures and safety guidelines to performance standards
• Ability to recognize issues and elevate to supervisor timely
• Other duties as assigned

  Education/Experience
• 1 Year janitorial, mechanical, custodial experience preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred

• Ability to lift from floor to above the head, 50 lbs. frequently, and 75 lbs. occasionally, throughout work shift
• Ability to use hands to handle or feel product
• Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours
• Must be willing and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, twist, and reach
• Ability to work in warehouse environment with constant exposure to loud machinery
• Ability to work in varied temperatures, both indoors and outdoors
• Ability to climb and use ladders safely
• Ability to become certified in operating various types of powered and non-powered equipment including but not limited to forklifts, scissor lifts, leaf blowers, drills, table saws, common cleaning tools and floor scrubbers
