Omega Morgan believes that each employee makes a significant contribution to our success. That contribution should not be limited by the assigned responsibilities. Therefore, this position description is designed to outline primary duties, qualifications, and job scope, but not limit the individual nor the organization to just the work identified. It is our expectation that each employee will offer his/her services wherever and whenever necessary to ensure the success of our endeavors.

Position Overview

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading complex industrial construction projects from preconstruction through execution and final delivery. This role is accountable for planning, coordination, financial performance, and client satisfaction across high-risk, logistically demanding projects. Success in this position requires someone who understands the realities of field-driven work—tight schedules, evolving site conditions, and zero room for safety mistakes—and can lead teams accordingly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead full lifecycle execution of heavy lift, rigging, transportation, and industrial construction projects
  • Partner with preconstruction and engineering teams to support lift planning, constructability reviews, and client proposals
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans aligned with field operations
  • Coordinate internal teams and specialized vendors (crane operators, transport, engineering, subcontractors) to ensure safe and efficient execution
  • Ensure scope, sequencing, and logistics are clearly defined and understood before work begins
  • Monitor project performance in real time—adjusting plans to address field conditions, access constraints, and schedule pressures
  • Identify risks early, particularly around safety, logistics, and site coordination, and take decisive action to mitigate them
  • Maintain direct communication with clients, providing clear updates on progress, challenges, and solutions
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety standards, lift plans, and regulatory requirements—no compromises
  • Lead project meetings including pre-lift briefings, coordination meetings, and post-project reviews
  • Manage and mentor project teams, including Project Engineers, Coordinators, Superintendents, Safety personnel, and field crews
  • Drive accountability across all stakeholders—internal teams, vendors, and clients alike
  • Support continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and refining project execution processes
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of project management experience in heavy lift, rigging, transportation, or industrial construction
  • Proven track record managing complex, multi-phase projects with significant logistical challenges
  • Strong understanding of field operations, including crane work, rigging practices, and site coordination
  • Ability to manage multiple projects without losing control of details or timelines
  • Demonstrated leadership—able to direct crews, coordinate vendors, and hold teams accountable
  • Solid financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Strong communication skills, especially in high-pressure, field-driven environments
  • Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar)
  • PMP certification is a plus, but practical field experience carries more weight
What Sets This Role Apart
  • Direct involvement in technically challenging, high-stakes projects—not routine construction
  • Strong connection between office leadership and field execution
  • Opportunity to lead crews and projects that require real problem-solving, not just paperwork
  • Work that demands precision, planning, and accountability—where experience actually matters
