Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading maintenance activities for their respective shifts and areas, ensuring that plant equipment, utilities, and grounds are maintained in an efficient, safe, and reliable manner while achieving operational excellence. The role also includes minimizing equipment downtime through training, team building, and process improvements, and ensuring that facilities, layout, and machinery operate at maximum efficiency.

Direct Reports: 8–10 Maintenance Leads and Technicians.
Safety Leadership- Ensure employees complete all required safety training.
- Maintain a safe work environment through coaching, engagement, and enforcement of safety policies.
- Lead and participate in incident investigations and root‑cause analysis.
- Design and implement safety equipment and ensure OSHA compliance.
- Conduct reviews for all new and modified equipment.
- Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and corrective action as necessary.
- Develop and manage maintenance training plans to support continuous learning.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and strong communication.
- Delegate daily assignments and enforce department policies and procedures.
- Support employee certification tracking and change‑management initiatives.
- Partner with Production to support reliable manufacturing processes.
- Oversee routine mechanical maintenance and ensure asset reliability.
- Develop and execute Preventive and Predictive Maintenance (PM/PdM) programs.
- Prioritize and manage maintenance tasks to meet operational requirements.
- Manage introduction of new equipment and disposal of obsolete machinery.
- Maintain accountability for maintenance expenditures and budget adherence.
- Provide technical support relating to mechanical drive systems, fluid power systems, pumping systems, mixing systems, and data acquisition.
- Apply working knowledge of building and facility maintenance, including janitorial‑related systems when applicable.
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement activities including Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and standard work application.
- Drive reduction of waste, variation, and operational cost.
- Promote plant goals related to safety, quality, and production performance.
- Utilize CMMS systems to collect data and improve equipment reliability.
- Use SAP, Kronos, and Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and administrative tasks.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and computer skills.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred.
- 3–5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 5 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
- Predictive/Preventive Maintenance and Reliability Engineering experience preferred.
- Ability to lift, bend, push, and pull materials; ability to work rotating or night shifts.
- English proficiency required;
Spanish language skills a plus.
The base salary range for this position is $75,900 to $100,000, with the potential for up to an additional 25% if the applicant hired has additional related qualifications.
