Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Press Brake Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with complex bend setups, forming operations, and the ability to read and interpret technical prints. Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machines to perform complex forming and bending operations
- Prepare and run intricate bend setups, including use of custom punches, dies, and special tooling
- Perform advanced programming of press brake machines, including angle bends, step bends, back gauge adjustments, delays, etc.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings, including understanding geometric tolerances
- Apply thorough knowledge of flat pattern layouts to ensure accurate part fabrication
- Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate with supervisors regarding job status
- Train and support less experienced operators as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including machine surfaces
- Coordinate with the Material Handler to ensure materials are available and properly staged
- Identify and suggest improvements to processes, efficiency, cost savings, and waste reduction
- Minimum 2 years of current or recent experience operating press brakes in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of press brake operations, tools, and safety procedures
- Proficient in reading mechanical drawings and applying geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Team-oriented with strong communication and mentoring skills
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
