Senior Plastics Technician

The Senior Plastics Technician is responsible for supporting and optimizing plastics extrusion operations during 3rd shift production. This role ensures efficient machine performance, maintains product quality standards, troubleshoots processing issues, and supports continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment.

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot plastics extrusion equipment
• Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality and performance standards
• Adjust machine parameters to maintain product specifications and reduce scrap
• Diagnose and resolve processing or equipment issues
• Support preventative maintenance and equipment optimization activities
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Assist in training operators and junior technicians as needed
• Work overtime as required to meet production demands

• GED or High School Diploma required;
  Associate’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years plastics extrusion experience
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English due to safety and federal regulations for this plant
• Strong understanding of extrusion processes, materials, and troubleshooting methods
• Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Willingness to work overnight (3rd shift) and required overtime
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Pay Range: $64,000 – $75,000 annually

There is a preference for local candidates, but also open to non‑local candidates who may qualify for a small amount of relocation assistance.

Based on full year of work and good performance:

$30.80/hour including night shift differential = $64,064 annual pay

+6% annual bonus = $3,843

+ Sign‑on Retention Bonus = $7,500 paid in intervals throughout the first year

= Total potential before overtime = $75,407

Plus, overtime rate = $46.20/hour; company requires overtime work as needed.
