Position: Pick and Place SMT Operator

Job Description

Our company is searching for experienced candidates for the position of SMT machine operator. If you are looking for an exciting place to work, please look at the list of qualifications below.

Required Experience
  • Experience with YAMAHA Pick & Place Machine (preferred).
  • General knowledge of solder pastes and solder paste printing machine.
  • Experience in operating screen printing machines (semi‑automatic & automatic).
  • LED Assembly knowledge (plus).
  • Experience with PnP, machining, production manufacturing methods and procedures.
  • Experience with IPC‑610/J‑STD workmanship standards class II & III.
  • At least two years of surface mount experience and machine operations (pick and place, reflow ovens, stencil printers).
Responsibilities

Monitor product through the entire SMT process, follow the First Article approval process before running entire batch, hand solder / desolder components, hand place components, troubleshoot and rework component placement, operate and monitor an automated SMT insertion machine, adjust printer equipment to apply solder paste, load and validate positioning of feeders, feed the machine with printed circuit boards, monitor production flow, and maintain machine cleanliness and productivity.

Qualifications
  • Good manual dexterity to position, align, and place components.
  • Ability to read work orders, follow production drawings and sample assemblies, or receive verbal instructions regarding duties.
  • Computer literate and capable of loading and navigating through multiple programs for all surface mount equipment.
  • Strong understanding of IPC‑610/J‑STD workmanship standards class II & III.
  • Ability to identify component polarity, color code, and values.
  • Experience with loading and programming surface mount equipment.

  • 8‑hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
