The Assembler IV is responsible for assembling complex electrical enclosures and custom assemblies while serving as a technical lead within the department. This role requires advanced knowledge of electrical schematics, wiring practices, and component installation techniques. The position may also require local or out‑of‑state travel to customer sites for troubleshooting equipment, supporting installations, or performing field service activities as needed.
Essential Duties- Assemble electrical enclosures, control panels, and related assemblies across a range of configurations and sub‑assemblies.
- Interpret electrical schematics, layout drawings, BOMs, and engineering notes.
- Install and wire electrical components including breakers, relays, contractors, PLC components, and power distribution blocks.
- Perform advanced wiring and routing inside enclosures.
- Troubleshoot wiring, electrical, or mechanical issues during assembly.
- Identify design or drawing issues before or during assembly.
- Lead complex builds and support production on difficult jobs.
- Travel locally or out of state when needed for troubleshooting equipment, field work, or installation support.
- Support training and mentorship of Assembler II and Assembler III employees.
- Collaborate with Engineering, QC, and Production leadership to resolve technical issues.
- Assist in root cause investigations and process improvements.
- Perform detailed inspections to support first‑pass quality.
- Represent ESL professionally during field work or customer support at job sites.
- Maintain 5S standards and a safe work environment.
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
- Communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
- Demonstrate ESL core values in daily work and teamwork.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical assembly or manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, layouts, and electrical systems.
- Experience building complex electrical assemblies or custom panels.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead complex builds.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Minimum 24 months as an Assembler III.
- Must pass the Assembler III exam.
- Proven track record of high quality and low rework.
- Demonstrates leadership and ownership consistently.
- Maintain a minimum performance of 85 %.
Standing 33 %, sitting 13 %, walking 18 %, computer use 4 %, bending 16 %, stooping 16 %, lifting up to 50 %.
- Work with ladders up to 12 ft.
- Wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes and safety glasses.

Salary Information$27.42 – $29.60 hourly wage.
