This role sits within the Motion Solutions department and focuses on troubleshooting, reworking, building, and assembling control panel boxes and pneumatic assemblies for a variety of client applications. You will work from schematics and drawings to assemble, wire, test, and label equipment while ensuring all work meets quality and validation standards.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, rework, build, and assemble control panel boxes in the Motion Solutions department.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and schematic diagrams to build control panels and assemblies from start to finish.
- Perform control panel assembly, including wiring, component installation, and layout based on schematics.
- Conduct validation testing on assembled control panels and equipment to ensure proper functionality and compliance with specifications.
- Build pneumatic assemblies according to instructions and engineering drawings.
- Test and label equipment accurately to support traceability and quality control.
- Use basic shop machinery such as saws, drill press, tapping machine, and grinder safely and effectively.
- Perform troubleshooting and rework on equipment and assemblies as needed to resolve issues and improve performance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members in the department as the area expands and new workspace is built out.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and schematic diagrams and build assemblies independently from the outset.
- Hands-on experience with control panel assembly, including wiring and component installation.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and control panel issues and performing rework.
- Experience with ladder logic and PLCs in the context of control panels and motion solutions.
- Strong skills in validation testing of control panels and equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Ability to assemble pneumatic systems following instructions and engineering drawings.
- Competence in schematic reading and applying schematics to practical assembly and wiring tasks.
- Ability to use basic machinery such as saws, drill press, tapping machine, and grinder safely.
- Attention to detail and accuracy when testing, labeling, and documenting equipment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Comfort working with control panel schematics, wiring, and assembly in a production or workshop environment.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision while following technical instructions and drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting and rework.
- Willingness to support department growth and adapt as the workspace and operations expand.
- Reliability in maintaining consistent attendance on first shift and occasional Saturday work as needed.

Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a workshop environment that is not temperature controlled, so it can become warm during the summer months. The department is actively expanding and building out additional workspace, creating opportunities to work in a developing and evolving area. The role operates on a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with work on Saturdays as needed.
The dress code is casual and practical, requiring comfortable clothes, closed-toe shoes, and non-offensive t-shirts suitable for a hands-on technical environment.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Corona, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
