As a Machine Shop Helper, you will support machining and assembly operations by maintaining an organized work area, assisting manufacturing personnel, and ensuring work is completed in accordance with instructions and blueprints. Your commitment to quality, safety, and accurate documentation will help maintain product conformity, support operational efficiency, and strengthen the team’s overall performance.

• Maintains AS9100 procedures and supports continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
• Works with supervisors and manufacturing personnel to prioritize work schedules.
• Works with supervisors and manufacturing personnel to establish methods of manufacture.
• Uses necessary equipment to support production requirements.
• Notifies supervisors of required tools and equipment.
• Manufactures, machines, and assembles products according to work instructions and blueprint requirements.
• Understands how customer products are impacted in the event of failure.
• Explains role within the Quality Management System (QMS) and contributes to product conformity and safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and effective communicator.
• General blueprint interpretation skills.
• Knowledge of machine set-ups, tools, tooling, cutters, and assembly practices.
• Entry-level skills in operating manual machines such as lathes and mills, and general hand tools.
• Ability to use hand inspection tools.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Direct communication with internal customers.
• Training on applicable changes and customer requirements.
• Knowledge of basic Quality Management System (QMS) reporting, record keeping, and following instructions.

• Constant standing, walking, or sitting for at least 8 hours.
• Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 pounds, minimum 35 pounds.
• Sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment.
• Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less; corrective lenses may be worn.
• Prolonged periods of repetitive movement.
• Constant holding, grasping, turning, or working with hands.
• Occasional extending of arms to reach overhead, at shoulder level, and below shoulder level.

Some travel may be required for this position.
