Overview
LVN - Psychiatric Unit position located at Corona Regional Rehabilitation Center in Corona, CA. Part Time Nights, shift position. Reporting to the Nurse Manager and Director of Behavioral Health Services, this position is responsible for promoting, maintaining and restoring health of patients in their care. Utilizes nursing process skills to deliver care to patients with serious and persistent mental illness. Works in conjunction with the Charge Nurse and may function as Relief Charge Nurse, as needed.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to patients with serious and persistent mental illness following the nursing process.
- Collaborate with the Charge Nurse; may serve as Relief Charge Nurse as needed.
- Maintain documentation and communication to ensure quality patient care.

Essential Knowledge /
Skills:
Knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses, terminology and medical record charting; ability to work with minimal supervision.
Minimum Essential
Experience:
At least two (2) years in working with clients with serious and persistent mental illness, preferably with at least one year in an inpatient setting. Excellent verbal and written skills.
Minimum Essential
Education:
Assaultive Behavior Management Training required within 90 days from date of hire.
Required Licensure /
Certifications:
Current California LVN license; current BLS (CPR) certificate.
