Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Education, the Clinical Educator works with the team to provide high quality and evidence‑based practice to all clinical and non‑clinical staff at Corona Regional Medical Center. This role includes policy and procedure development, implementation of new skills, equipment, and processes. Responsibilities also encompass competency validation completion for all disciplines, onboarding new team members in all areas, and conducting training for Nurse Residency, Preceptor Workshop, CNA Workshops, Orientation, and New to Specialty Programs.
The educator attends departmental meetings as needed, coordinates with various clinical departments, and manages projects as required.

Essential knowledge/skills:
- Understanding and knowledge of educational techniques and principles of adult learning.
- Effective communication with all levels of staff, physicians, leadership, and ancillary department staff.
- Ability to generate enthusiasm for learning and professional growth among employees.
- Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to work varied hours to provide education across multiple shifts and departments.
- Preferred knowledge in working with PowerPoint, Excel, email, and the electronic medical record.
Minimum essential experience:
- Five years full‑time experience as a licensed Registered Nurse providing direct patient care in a hospital setting.
- Five years experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in an acute‑care setting.
Minimum essential education:
- BSN required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
Required licensure / certifications:
- Current California nursing license.
- Current BLS (CPR) certification through the American Heart Association.
