Rn - Per Diem Pool

Responsibilities

Registered Nurse (RN) – Locked Psych Unit. Per Diem position at Corona Rehabilitation Center, Corona, CA. Reporting to the Nurse Manager and Director of Behavioral Health Services, this position requires accountability for the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of the health of patients assigned to the RN's care. Utilize specialized knowledge and skills in nursing process to deliver quality care to patients with serious and persistent mental illness.

Work in conjunction with the Charge Nurse and may function as Relief Charge Nurse as needed.

Knowledge and understanding of psychiatric diagnosis(es), terminology, and medical record charting. Ability to work with minimal supervision.

At least two (2) years of experience working with clients with serious and persistent mental illness, preferably one year in an inpatient setting. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Assaultive Behavior Management Training required within 90 days from date of hire.

Current California RN license required. Current BLS (CPR) Certificate required.
