Responsibilities

Educator – Emergency Department (ED) – Full‑time day position at Corona Regional Medical Center, Corona, CA.

Key duties include:

  • Providing high quality, evidence‑based practice education to clinical and non‑clinical staff.
  • Policy and procedure development; implementation of new skills, equipment, and processes.
  • Competency validation for all disciplines.
  • Onboarding new team members across all areas.
  • Conducting training sessions such as Nurse Residency, Preceptor Workshop, CNA Workshops, Critical Care Orientation Series, and ICU/SD New to Specialty Programs.
  • Attending departmental meetings as needed.
  • Coordinating with clinical departments and managing projects.

Qualifications

Essential knowledge and skills

  • Understanding of educational techniques and adult learning principles.
  • Effective communication with staff, physicians, leadership, and ancillary departments.
  • Ability to generate enthusiasm for learning and professional growth.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours to cover all clinical shifts.
  • Preferred knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, email, and EMR.

Minimum essential experience

  • Five years full‑time experience as a licensed Registered Nurse providing direct patient care in a hospital setting.
  • Preferred experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in acute care.

Minimum essential education

  • BSN required.
  • Master's degree preferred.

Required licensure / certifications

  • Current license to practice professional nursing in California.
  • Current BLS (CPR) certification through American Heart Association.
