The Engineering Lab Technician is responsible for assisting in the design, development, and testing of products, systems, and processes. The Engineering Lab Technician is responsible for compiling documentation such as test reports, first article inspection reports, and returned material failure reports. The starting pay for this position ranges from $28 to $32 an hour, depending on experience.
Responsibilities- Creating and executing test plans.
- Evaluating returned products and investigating failures.
- Supporting capital projects through testing validation.
- Assisting in troubleshooting production problems through testing and dimensional analysis.
- Working with quality and engineering to provide feedback from testing and product evaluation.
- Reviewing drawing accuracy and consistency with company standards.
- Reviewing customer specifications and comparing to company capabilities.
- Collaborating with peers on solutions to design challenges based on testing.
- Preparing final reports and conducting a quality check of all documents and reports, verifying accuracy of data, information, and calculations.

Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma. 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing or quality. Previous experience in ERP systems. SAP experience is a plus.
Language SkillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret manufacturing documents such as drawings, industry standards, and Bills of Manufacture. Ability to communicate clearly through brief written instructions.
Computer SkillsKnowledge of MS Office and ERP system (Syteline and/or SAP preferred).
