Job Overview
The Engineering Lab Technician is responsible for assisting in the design, development, and testing of products, systems, and processes. The Engineering Lab Technician is responsible for compiling documentation such as test reports, first article inspection reports, and returned material failure reports. The starting pay for this position ranges from $28 to $32 an hour, depending on experience.
A Day In The Life- Responsible for creating and executing test plans
- Responsible for evaluating returned products and investigating failures.
- Support capital projects through testing validation
- Assist in troubleshooting production problems through testing and dimensional analysis.
- Work with quality and engineering to provide feedback from testing and product evaluation.
- Review drawing accuracy and consistency with company standards.
- Review customer specifications and comparison to company capabilities.
- Collaborate with peers on solutions to design challenges based on testing.
- Preparation of final reports and conducting a quality check of all documents and reports, verifying accuracy of data, information, and calculations.

Education and/or Experience High school diploma. 5+ years' experience in manufacturing or quality. Previous experience in ERP systems. SAP experience is a plus.
Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret manufacturing documents such as drawings, industry standards, and Bills of Manufacture. Ability to communicate clearly through brief written instructions.
Computer Skills Knowledge of MS Office and ERP system (Syteline and/or SAP preferred).
