Job Description Job Description Quality Control Inspector – Aerospace Manufacturing Join Our Team

We are a growing aerospace manufacturing company seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerospace manufacturing, be familiar with AS9100 quality standards
, and possess excellent inspection and documentation skills. If you are detail-oriented and committed to producing high-quality products, we'd like to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on aerospace components.
  • Inspect machined, fabricated, and assembled parts using precision measuring equipment.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and GD&T.
  • Verify products meet customer, engineering, and AS9100 quality requirements.
  • Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality documentation.
  • Identify and document nonconforming material and assist with corrective actions.
  • Ensure calibration status of inspection equipment before use.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing and Engineering to resolve quality issues.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.
  • Maintain compliance with company quality procedures and safety standards.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2–5 years of Quality Control Inspection experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 quality management systems is required.
  • Experience reading engineering drawings and interpreting GD&T.
  • Proficient with precision measuring instruments including:
    • Calipers
    • Micrometers
    • Height gauges
    • Bore gauges
    • Optical comparator ()
  • Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
Qualifications
  • Experience with CMM inspection or CMM programming.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and aerospace quality systems.
  • ERP/MRP system experience.
