Job Description Job Description Quality Control Inspector – Aerospace Manufacturing Join Our Team
We are a growing aerospace manufacturing company seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerospace manufacturing, be familiar with AS9100 quality standards
, and possess excellent inspection and documentation skills. If you are detail-oriented and committed to producing high-quality products, we'd like to hear from you.
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on aerospace components.
- Inspect machined, fabricated, and assembled parts using precision measuring equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and GD&T.
- Verify products meet customer, engineering, and AS9100 quality requirements.
- Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality documentation.
- Identify and document nonconforming material and assist with corrective actions.
- Ensure calibration status of inspection equipment before use.
- Work closely with Manufacturing and Engineering to resolve quality issues.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.
- Maintain compliance with company quality procedures and safety standards.
- Minimum 2–5 years of Quality Control Inspection experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of AS9100 quality management systems is required.
- Experience reading engineering drawings and interpreting GD&T.
- Proficient with precision measuring instruments including:
- Calipers
- Micrometers
- Height gauges
- Bore gauges
- Optical comparator ()
- Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience with CMM inspection or CMM programming.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and aerospace quality systems.
- ERP/MRP system experience.
